Brekke currently works as a Learning Garden Coordinator with The Kitchen Community, helping to install and maintain school gardens here in Chicago. She is also in the process of finishing her Masters Degree in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College with graduation expected in May of 2014. With over 8 years of experience in environmental education and community outreach, Brekke is excited to put her skills to work for the Dill Pickle Board of Directors. Additionally, Brekke worked as a Dill Pickle employee from June 2011 through July 2013. Her blend of experience as an employee as well as a customer gives her great perspective on issues that face the co-op as it looks to expand in the coming year. Brekke has been a member of the Dill Pickle Food Co-op since the fall of 2009 and has lived in the Logan Square community since 2008.
